My photography session on the topic 'Depth' went very well in my opinion. I really enjoyed the topic of depth because I thought it was easy to find depth within an image. I explored various angles and compositions of my work in this topic. When taking my 'depth' pictures I tried to put in the skills we'd learnt in the previous sessions, This topic interested me very much and I had lots of inspiration as its fairly easy to make most angles contain some form of depth. Even though the description of 'Depth' may seem fairly vague I found it fairly easy to find depth. Some of my favorite photographs I took were:
I like this photograph because I like the way the buildings tower on each side of the pathway which adds depth to the image due to the way the path stretches out towards the end of the photograph.
I love this photograph due to the simplicity of the wood beam creating depth in the image, the line of bark and soil also helps to create depth down the side.
Progression:
If I could progress with this topic then I definitely would. I would choose to do possibly a study of the depth within liquid so to photograph different depths of water, e.g. sea or swimming pools. Another study I would like to do would be depth within buildings so how the different set ups of buildings look like they have more or less depth. To make some of my photos better in this topic I wish I had spend more time on my composition and how my photos looked, so center leading lines etc.
